That said, I don’t think there is anything grammatically wrong with saying “My day was great till . Keep in mind, I’m referring to American English in my answer. Context matters. It’s difficult to judge any given sentence in isolation. All languages have multiple ways to say more or less the same thing. A large part of being fluent in a language is knowing what sounds right in a particular instance/context. Can I say "My day was great till you came" meaning that the person's presence ruined their day? Does it sound natural? What would a native English speaker say in that case? a JBw d LXLI pzGvl b mveq y RcFg VmIQ F JKTS o NKxin r JgiBr g O e Ulm fR o o f Ri u E F m wjg p dOFTn i be r MiMX e FaMow s x : y amtPQ B gnN u CWoM i iTFv l Hk d DejI ajrPL a s UTFBk C pUel i kwuS t EXpIS y sz. Grammar isn’t everything. It is quite possible to come up with perfectly grammatical sentences that people would have no problem understanding, but no native speaker would ever say that way.
